athenahealth Integration Status Update
Dear Centricity™ Practice Solution and Centricity EMR Customers:
We are now eight weeks into the merger with athenahealth, and I am writing to reassure you that, although our corporate name has changed, our commitment to you is unwavering. We are now one company under the athenahealth brand that supports both the Centricity and athenaOne product suite. We will continue to proceed with planned release updates and endeavor to provide the best possible support for Centricity Practice Solution, Centricity EMR, Community Health Solution, and related products. Your success and satisfaction are our number one priority.
We remain focused on upgrading and maintaining the comprehensive workflow solutions that integrate EMR, practice management, population health, patient engagement, analytics and connectivity solutions to help you serve your patients. In the last six months we’ve:
- Enabled access to PDMP in over thirty states
- Kicked-off the SP3 Limited Availability process
- Deployed VBC Analytics to hundreds of providers
- Deployed Hospital Connect v1.0 to over 35 practices across the country
- Released Hospital Connect v2.0 with auto-query in Limited Availability – Released Ambulatory Population Health tools
- Released a new Workflow Optimization Analytics application
- Continued to deploy FHIR based APIs
- Developed v19 to be released in the second half of the year
- Provided access to hundreds of online training courses
- Supported many customers with their deployment of Simple Chart
Over the last few weeks, we’ve received a lot of valuable insights from you. You’ve shared the features that you value the most, such as managing your own revenue cycle processes, the ability to create robust and customized content, and the open access to, and reportability of, your data. We’ve also learned more about the things we could improve, including the eRx process, immunizations, and the overall user interface.
We are taking all of your recent and prior feedback and are incorporating portions of it in a revised roadmap that we’re planning to release later this year. In the meantime, we remain committed to our planned 2019 releases and the solutions you are anticipating. Centricity Practice Solution and Centricity EMR v.19 are scheduled for Limited Availability in the second half of the year.
We continue to make progress on the integration of our two companies. We believe our combined organization will bring you even more value through extensive expertise, exceptional customer experience, and industry-leading capabilities. As Bob Segert, our Chairman and CEO, indicated in his letter announcing the merger on February 11th, our goal is to leverage the best of both the Centricity and athenaOne offerings to bring an improved, world class portfolio to market. We are committed to our strategic priorities of helping you navigate the transition to value-based care, improving revenue cycle performance, and enhancing the clinician experience. We expect to share more about our combined product strategy later in the year.
Thank you again for your continued partnership with us. We will be as transparent as possible through this integration process, and you can expect to hear more from us in early May. We continue to seek your feedback, and would appreciate your input on this three-minute survey to tell us how we’re doing and submit ideas for how we can better serve you.
