We are in the process of upgrading our EMR and implementing Kryptiq's eprescribing. As part of the prep, we're instructed to cleanup the pharmacy list. However, our pharmacy list is a mess. Instead of trying to clean it up by merging the pharmacies, etc., I would like to essentially start clean by deleting all pharmacies and pharmacy links to patients. Then I'd like to import the portion of surescript pharmacies that apply to our region and move forward. Has anyone done something similar? Does anyone have a script that could do this (delete the pt connection to pharmacies and then delete the pharmacies), or know of anyone that could create one. GE has indicated they cannot do it.
We are currently on the Oracle platform, but we're moving to SQL Server. We're upgrading & migrating first and then implementing eRx. So, most likely, the script would need to work with the sql server schema.

I could see deleting all the pharmacy's via SQL, but I haven't seen how to "bulk" load pharmacies from Kryptiq, so that would have to be investigated.
Also, keep in mind pharmacies are linked to patients, so if you nuke the list, you have to account for re-adding to each patient chart, and I'm not sure how that might change the medication/refill history view.
