Hi,
We are relatively new on the Centricity EMR. I am wondering if anyone has input on Dragon or other transcription programs working within Centricity. Pros and cons would be appreciated.
We are looking into upgrading from our digital handheld recorders to something more "user friendly" for our physicians.

We use dragon and it works well if the doctors take time to continuously use it. If they dont put the time in to train it, then it does not work.

Do the doctors have to drastically change their dictating style, i.e., catch phrases, etc.?
Are there other good voice recognition programs besides Dragon out there? Has anyone done or seen comparisons in workflow changes, cost, etc?

They do some at the beginning so that dragon can start understanding them, but after a little while, most are back dictating like they used to.
