I updated my test server with 12.0.12 just to take a look and see what is new/good/bad. The install went very smooth and it was quick to do the database (about 30 minutes for 75GB DB)
Other than that I have no feedback to report yet but nobody else here has looked at it yet.
Anyone else?

I did a test upgrade as well. Upgrade was smooth. Haven't speed any time in it yet though.
We are testing now after applying in 2 environments (test). We had an issue with the advanced specificity problem search and it appears that it is still an issue. When looking up "vitamin D deficiency" the magnifying glass returned "E55.0 Rickets -Active." The ICD-10 for vitamin D deficiency is E55.9 (I believe).
We are updating later this summer. I'd be interested to hear any more comments, good or bad. Thanks.
We applied SP12 in live last week after extensive testing and we are seeing great improvement. In our system the application would crash anywhere from 1 to 15 times a day on certain users. That seems to be completely resolved from this SP. All major fixes advertised seem to be working as designed. I do not have one complaint with this upgrade so far and that is very unusual!! This seems to be one of the most stable versions of EMR we have had for a while.
What AP/patch level were you on prior to SP12?
Any additional updates from those who have made the leap to SP 12?
We are currently on CEMR 9.8 SP 9, and according to what we've heard, SP 12 may finally be the stable Service Pack we've been waiting for, but we're kind of waiting for that "don't do it!" forum post or communication like SP 10 and SP 11.
We plan on doing a test migration at the end of this month, and then an upgrade to our live environment mid-July so any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
We are on EMR 9.8 SP 11 Patch 4 before we upgraded to 12.
We are pushing SP12 into our production environment this Saturday. We are currently on CPS 12.0.11 I'll try my best to report back any issues that we have.
SP12 install went about as usual as the rest of our SP installs have. Nothing fantastic or terrible to report except that I had to run the Server Configurator twice to get JBoss to perform properly and launch the client logon process. Since upgrading we have noticed the following changes:
You can change the patient's pharmacy of record on-the-fly, even with a Chart Update in progress. (Positive Change)
If you have the update open, but not as your active window, double-clicking the document from the Chart-Documents page does not open the document. Instead, it takes you to the Chart-Summary page. This is very frustrating for our providers, especially since they are plagued with the pop-behind issue when opening a chart update from On-Hold. (Negative Change)
SR open with GE: Error on one of our Terminal Servers when printing prescriptions that the "page size is not large enough for the content". Preview of the prescription shows the crystal report is blowing the text size up to 1,000. Client and Printer Driver reinstall has no effect thus far. (Pending SR)
We are not yet to a point to report on any improvements with stability or otherwise. We have a few clients having issues that are actively being troubleshooted in-house. One will occasionally state that the patient's chart cannot be found when right-clicking and selecting Open Chart from the appointment on the schedule. Another client has been getting database connect errors and crashes. (Jury Out)
We started having an issue with Chart Maintenance documents after the upgrade. Our front desk staff adds directives directly to the chart summary, creating a chart maintenance document. It always works but occasionally the document doesn't appear under documents for edit and when they add directives they don't appear on the directives list unless they either change patients and go back or log out and back in. Then everything appears normal. Anyone else experiencing anything like this?
We recently upgrade to 12.0.12 and it has been working fine for first day, then having random crashes reported by nurse and providers.
The log didn't say much why it's crashed, having a ticket with GE as now and will update as soon as possible.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
thanks
any updates, concerns or issues with installing SP12 to date? Anything special we should look out for? Does anyone have a project plan they would share as a check list or a timeline? I am working on putting one together but I'd like to see if anyone else has anything too.
For me nothing besides some SP11 issues. Like not being able to double click a document that is on hold to open it. You have to right click and edit. Besides that SP12 is really smooth for my group at least.
Well, went ahead and did our production system today. It went pretty smooth except for the GE plug-in cloud seemed to be offering broken files. I ended up restoring the plugins from my 12.0.11 backup onto the 12.0.12 server since I couldn't reach support. I hope they get these cloud issues fixed. I went to "download updates from GE website" and selected the 4 plugins I needed. Each one took forever to download and reported "no update needed" but when I went to download to the clients they all failed. I thought something was awry when I saw "failed" on one of the files in each plugin download. It said it was a java timeout. As it turns out each .cab file from the 4 plugins were like 3k instead of the normal size. Several of my plugins are slightly older, but seem to work (Centricity, CentricityRT, Expressbill and CMS1500).
I hope they get their cloud working again. The licensing cloud worked at least. One out of two isn't too bad I guess.
