I have a provider who is having some serious issues in the orders module. I have been able to recreate some of the problems. I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing these issues.
The provider will select his items off of either a custom list, or use the categories tab to select items specific to referrals or tests. He often has at least 3 items that he is adding to the orders. As he is internal medicine he also may have 2-5 diagnosis codes that he then adds the the orders and sometimes a different set of diagnosis codes to each order.
The problem seems to happen when he enters the order details field and center around end date field. Often he is unable to enter any instructions or admin comments and the focus seems to remain on the end date field. If he tries to get out of the orders detail field to perhaps add another order or referral the system is what I would call 1/2 locked up. He can change tabs but is unable to click any new orders.
A few times the final result is a system crash or we have to disconnect his session from the Citrix server so he can login again and start all over.
Is anyone else experiencing issues around the orders module in 12.0.7? Or does anyone know of any SPR's that relate to this?
thanks!
If there are more than two orders, order number three and onward you cannot type any instructions in. Happens to us all the time, but I have not had the time to call GE about it.
HI Christoper - I did some quick testing and even with only 2 orders I was able to "break" it. As soon as I clicked the "end date" field everything stopped. No visible error or crash but no way I can get out of the order or add any new orders.
Thanks for giving me an angle to try.
You have to enter an end date on referrals. It is required. Even on test orders if you enter the end date field you have to enter a date or it won't let you go on. It's a pain, but I do have a ticket open with GE on the test orders as there should be no requirement for date on that.

Hey JBELL
any chance that you are using the Liaison (Ignis) EMR-Link form "Process Lab orders"? Is that in your templates?
We encountered the same behavior you report starting with 12.0.3 and all the way through 12.0.6 when that form is present.
Thanks
