One of my provider is having ongoing intermittent problem with PDF attachment.
Sometime CPS lock up and he is unable to close PDF or do anything with his session. We have to end his session on the server.
He is using Citrix thin client on his laptop with WI-FI connection. We are on CPS 12.0.7
We tried to re-create his citrix profile, replaced his wi-fi card, added access point.
Any ideas??? we are lost on what else we can do.
Thanks!
does this happens to a single user or to every user on your citrix?
Of course it's a provider. That's a built in feature of CPS. 🙂
If the PDF won't close, that's not likely directly related to CPS. I suspect the PDF viewer (probably CPSBrowser.exe) is actually closing, but still appears to be on the screen because CPS, which was in the background, is unresponsive. Does the start button work? Can you right-click on the taskbar and bring up task manager? If so, find the CPOPM06.exe process with that user's account. There should only be one CPOPM06.exe process shown. If there is more than one, you likely have other problems. Right click on the process and click end process. Of course you are sure, so confirm by clicking "End process" again. Restart CPS.
Let me know if that works to get CPS restarted without the whole logoff/logon process. Our users are trained to do this because CPS locks up/crashes much more frequently than it should.
I had a similar issue on my citrix when i opened PDF and Midmark EKG. The fix was some registry modification that fixed the Citrix internal flags.
let me know.
It happens to only one provider and random PDF. What was the fix that you appiled to registry? Thanks!
