Wondering if anyone else has seen this problem.
Intermittently, the printed CVS gets cut off at the edges. It looks like the margins are set smaller than what the printer supports. I have no idea how the CVS gets it's margin settings. Another odd thing about the CVS - you can't choose a different printer; it always seems to print to the user's default printer.
We see it too. We put in a ticket with GE. It's a known bug and we were added to the SPR...
Do you know the SPR #?
Here you go...
SPR CISDB00060986- Fix in 12.2.
I had this issue with a user profile. If this one user profile printed, it would cut off everything. Once I switched user profiles it worked just fine. It was only on some computers but all of the time. All the PCs were identical make and model. Just an additional thought.
What do you mean by "switched user profiles"?
shepde3, thanks for the SPR. We are C-EMR customers, so it probably doesn't apply to us.
Message moved to Bugs, Known Issues, Open Cases and SPR added to Title
What I meant is windows users or Citrix users, not Centricity users. Sorry, I should have been more clear on that.
We have run into this issue as well intermittently, using CEMR in citrix environment. Started back at the end of the summer, noted while on 9.8 sp4-6. Our first discussions with GE indicated it was specific to our environment, no other users had reported problem. We have rolled back from printing the CVS and the Truven Pt Ed materials, so has not been a major issue at the moment for us, but interested to see there is an SPR out on the issue. Thank you for sharing.
We had the issue when we first went live on 9.8 - SP3. One of our server admins found a "work around". That worked for the affected users until we applied SP7 and then the issue recurred for people so they just followed the work around once more. We use Citrix and it affected several users in one of our Citrix environments. GE finally acknowledged it was a known issue sent to engineering so we didn't pursue further for the moment. I have a word document I will attach as a work around if it helps anyone. CVSPrintingWorkAround
We just started using GE's Clinical Visit Summary and are having this same issue. Has anyone had any resolutions to this?
As far as the CVS getting cut off at the edges, we've discovered that it appears to be related to internet explorer's zoom level.
Try the following:
1) Launch Internet Explorer from the EMR.
2) Open the Internet Explorer View menu, and set zoom to 100%. If zoom is already set to 100%, change it to something else, and then back to 100%.
3) Try printing the CVS.
we had this issue on a couple workstations, below fixed it
• Open Internet Explorer
• Click on "File"
• Click on "Page Setup"
• Uncheck "Enable Shrink-to-fit"
• Relaunch CPS (I reset CPS process first)
