In recent weeks we've heard reports from > 20 providers that any time they click on, open, sign, or print a CCD, their EMR immediately crashes. I've seen the behavior myself and do not know what is causing this. Any ideas? We are on EMR 9.8.10.
Thanks!
We are experiencing a similar thing with our Continuity of Care/TOC documents, but I haven't seen or heard of it occurring in our Clinical Visit Summary documents.
We have a ticket open with GE, but no resolution or explanation yet.
Hi, our incoming CCD's crash as well. GE thinks it is attributed to otoutside programs on the PCs, so they did not investigate our EMR too much. Do you notice anything different about your PCs that crash, from the ones that do not? I cannot pinpoint one common program
So far I have not. The PC's that I tested from (just a few) all were able to have the issue and at this time I have the inbound CCD's turned off because of the issues.
On the same computer, I've had it work sometimes and freeze sometimes. It was tested on Terminal Servers and workstations. The last testing that I did, it seemed to be an issue when the TOC document was on the Desktop and switching back and forth between the charts and desktop. If I searched for a patient and went to their chart, and then viewed the TOC document, I don't think it was crashing the system. I need to test this some more and see if it's consistent.
Oddly enough, it works on most of our terminal severs but barely any of the workstations. I tried searching for the patient's name and then viewing the TOC, but unfortunately still crashing. I will keep you updated if we come to a solution. Please let me know as well!
