Duplicated Medications - When the Update Medications window is opened, the patient’s meds are being duplicated. Also, if you attempt to remove the duplicated med, the med will be added again.
*Only recent change was the implementation of the Immunization HTML form.*
Hi,
This was an issue we documented as well in 9.8.2, and happened in each chart where the immz html or the med admin html forms were utilized and all charts after, until you exit the app. I believe it was fixed.
SPR# 59816. What version are you on?
This usually happens prior to Service Pack 6 when someone opens the new Medication admin form and then goes back into update meds. It will then continue on every patient until the user logs off of that session and back on again (if using via citrix, out of citrix also). We didn't test the scenario with immunization form. It was resolved in SP6 per the below spr. We recently went to SP7 and it is fine. We decided not to use new med admin form until resolved. Not sure if this is your issue but thought I'd post this info.
- After using the Medication Administration form the Medications tab no longer includes duplicates. SPR 59816
Currently the site is on 9.8.4
I also think that if you merge a chart and the meds are in each, they will duplicate.

We are on 9.8.6 and have yet to implement the HTML Med Admin form. We seem to have the med duplication whenever anyone addresses interactions. I have an example where a clinician was adding a secure message back to a patient. All she did was remove a few problems from the patient's list and she had to address interactions. She did not even prescribe anything. The meds duplicated on the patient's Medication tab. We have no idea why this occurs. Have a ticket open with GE, but since the document is signed, we cannot change anything...
