Im currently having issues with the prefrence for prescribing method. It should default to electronic, but it defaults to "Print and give to patient". The MD has to manually change the prescribing method. Do you know if this has been resolved, or how to resolve it? The folks at Kryptic think I am nuts, i don't know if this is a default in the system, or a workflow issue. Any help would be appreciated!!
I currently have CSP 12.0.7
Check your pharmacy in Administration..is it shows Retail offline?
In order to default to "electronic" , pharmacy needs to be retail online and * behind the name.
Hope this helps!
If you go into Admin / System / User and Resource Managment / Users / Preferences / User Preferences.
Select Prescriptions from the list of options. From here you will be able to select the Prescribing Method. You also have the option to set the default by User / Group or the Enterprise. Hope this help resolve your problem.
Sounds simple and you probably checked, but make sure his preference isn't set to print and give to patient in Go Setup Preferences.
I probably should have put this in the orgional post, but yes. The system prefrence is set to "Pharmacys perscribing method" for everyone, and i double checked every provider to make sure it was actually set. The nurses that are adding the pharmacys themselves are making sure that the pharmacies have the (*) next to them.
Im hoping that this is something simple, but i can't figure out what's going on.
Did you check the eSM console and see if it is a true e-scribe pharmacy? Someone could've just added it to the admin side and not imported from the eSM console. If you find the pharmacy in the eSM console and it says unmatched, make sure to either match it to its twin or import into the EMR.
