Has anyone else experienced extremely slow responses from their system? Have you been able to identify what the problems are? We are hosted with True North and are having a really hard time from Registration, scheduling and the EHR.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
We have had many complaints after our 20.0 upgrade from 12.3.3. If you open a case with Athena they will focus on your physical and virtual hardware. They definitely identified some tweaks for us but I have not heard that it is any better from my users. Personally I do think it is better but there is still lag in the application which won't show up for me as I am not a provider. I would expect True North to have done all of this for you already.
It is possible that this is an expected side effect associated of more cloud integration. As an example, I do not know how frequently Azure AD is queried during user interactions but that could be why things seem to be slow for the user(s) but you can't find any evidence in your system resource monitoring. I don't know how the application is written or how/when cloud queries are made but I have assumed as we move forward with new versions there is more cloud dependence. I have thought of coming in on the weekend to unplug the internet just to see what breaks, then take some notes so that I don't waste time chasing performance issues which I have no control over.
You have answered a question for me, and that is if 20.1 would seem to perform any better. It seems like it has not improved over 20.0.

I heard from a friend today that they had issues but it turned out to be SQL Server was allocated 4 gig rather than the intended 40 gig. I doubt that this is your problem 🙂
We upgraded this weekend, and were advised to limit the number of columns/patients who show in the schedule view. The number of tables that are involved in the new 'feature' that shows the patients' eligibility status on the schedule and the schedule refresh can cause a lot of SQL slowness.
