Our clinic just discovered that the information we are entering into historical data is not crossing over into our state immunization registry correctly. It is showing our clinic as the "administering" entity instead of just historical data.
GE techs have advised this is a "known issue" SPR 66090- slated to be corrected by Version 12.2.
GE has no current known work around for this issue.
Has anyone come up with a workaround for this problem.... other than going back to manual "upload" of immunization information??

We found this out recently also and what we have done is create a user named "Historical Entry" for users to select from the drop down on the "Entered by". field.
Thank you for your quick response. I created the user suggested and did a test.
Unfortunately, the information showing up in our state registry is still pulling from our clinic name.
Immunization given today by Family Medicine of Mt. Pleasant.
We did NOT give the injection....only entered the historical data.
Any other thoughts or work arounds out there??

Unfortunately you are right, however, at least we have satisfied the documentation in the chart...."Administered by Historical Entry". That's the best we could do. This is supposed to be fixed in the 9.10 EMR upgrade.
Do you know if this issue also make it look like an immunization was given when it was documented as not given?
I am sending CCDA's to a registry and Flu Vaccines that are "not given" were entered in charts but the registry sees it as if they were given. I have looked at the CCDA and it almost looks like it was given from the information in it.
