BEWARE
I didn't believe the nurse when they told me they recorded a not given on influenza and it showed up as a not given on HepA.
But it's true. I removed all her not givens and put it in myself.
My Not Given influenza not only recorded and displayed on the grid as Hep A Not Given but it also wiped out all the text translasion for the other vaccinations the nurse had documented. The only thing showing in the chart note was the Not Given Hep A. Even after I removed the Hep A Not Given again, it still showed on Hep A Not Given in the chart note.
I removed the form and added it back it to no effect. All the vaccines that had been documented were not showing in the chart note and the only thing charted was the incorrect Not Given Hep A.
Also, I have 14 charts right now with crashing Immunization HTML forms. It's been an open ticket for 3 months. It's starting to affect my quality numbers.
Also, I have yet to successfully get the Add Immunization mel symbol to record a vaccine.
Also, The migration was randomly unsuccessful, the letter doesn't print right of course, the protocols are not working with immz html. I hate that nursing can enter lot numbers on the fly because they put them in the wrong place and then others use the wrong lot numbers too.
Completely NOT a fan of this very troubled immunization managment form.
You're right - it's a MESS! Our clinical supervisor took one look at all of the clicks in the HTML form and said No Way. Some of the CPS 12 documentation made reference to MEL immunization command names that apparently were never implemented. GE support could not help me at all, but I found the correct symbol, eventually. We're developing quicktexts and a VFE form to do this, but I'm not sure how I can get to the lot information.
I did get the MEL symbol to work, though. Here is an example that produced an immunization record:
{IMMUN_ADD('tDap^BOOSTRIX 5-2.5-18.5 SUSP^BOOSTRIX 5-2.5-18.5 SUSP^1^Y^^N^^V01^94372^^^^58160084211^20^0.5^mL^IM^C28161^Left Arm^LA^GlaxoSmithKline^SKB^561^12/31/2017^1/1/1999^username^10/15/2014^D^well tolerated^10/16/2014^D^dizziness^providername^^^^^')}

Agreed. We are not utilizing the HTML content for Immunization Managment due to many concerns. This is one scenerio I was not aware (flu not given issue). Would you mind sharing the version you are currently on and if there is a SPR assigned by GE for the fix? Thank you
The mdObject parsed IMMUN_xxx in something usable. Check it out. It's open source project.
Also I know that blackbird solutions has (or maybe working on it) an alternative to GE immunization form.
