Looks like this issue of jumping forms (the right form doesn’t open when clicked) and crashing is still not fixed! This drives my providers mad!
SPR CISDB000058736 and it was not included in the 12.0.7 update.
See the attached document, in the “Fixed Issues” section, for those SPRs that are included in 12.0.7.
SPR 58736 is slated for CPS update 12.2 (there will not be a 12.1 release, and all fixes slated for 12.1 will be merged into 12.2).
A suggested workaround for this issue is:
“Use navigation buttons on bottom of forms instead of clicking on form components.”
The expected release date for Update 12.2 is late Q1.
For the other issues you described in this SR, I suggest that you pick out a user that frequently experiences these problems, and then we should set Tracing on to capture the error in the log files
Please complain to GE if you have jumping and crashes – the more people complain the higher it goes up. The use of navigation buttons don’t work – because the order of the forms is not the work flow! But the order we have them in the note.
This is a major issue for physicians. GE does not appreciate the issues of ease of use. Unfortunately, GE is out of touch with its users.
GE does count complaints -- so please report this if you are also having the issue.
We have already and our group was added to the SPR some time back. The bad part with the workflow they are offering is that if you have custom forms loaded into the encounter type, the corresponding navigation buttons at the bottom of the form do not reflect those custom items. So really it is not a viable workflow especially if you have an entire encounter type comprised of custom forms. So we can only hope that this is positively addressed in the upcoming 12.2 release.
Is anyone seeing this issue with EMR as well? We've had numerous reports of EMR crashing for our providers and have not been able to pinpoint the cause.
The form jumping (as I call) it is happening in the EMR. They click a form while working t an encounter and another form opens or the system will crash.
Thank you for sharing this!! I noticed our providers having this issue just last Friday. I have asked to be added to the SPR.
Has anyone had any info on when this SPR will be fixed? Is it 12.0.8? Or 12.2?
We are having this issue as well. We were added to the SPR last summer but as of yesterday when I was trialing something else in the system it was still doing it and not fixed. I looked at the 12.0.8 release notes and it does not look like it was fixed in this release.
I want to say I heard this fix would be in 12.2 but don't quote me on that.
The information that I have received from our GE Account Rep is that this will be fixed in 12.2 under SPR:#59684
I sure hope so. Mine does it too.
I am with JFitzMD. GE is not concerned with ease of use for the clinician.
It seems to me that CPOS is the antithesis of intelligent design. For example in normal search window circumstances like searching the medication database you type the window autopopulates or hit enter to engage the search. Not when searching pharmacies in CPOS. Alt+S is the required. This is one small thing but Centricity is riddled with these inconsistencies making efficient work near impossible. And most clinicians do not have time to take away from all their meaningless clicking to come on here and complain.
Sorry for the thread creep.
