Hi Everyone,
I was trying to do the KB update last night but kept getting stuck on this error. GE says they can't help until Monday. I was wondering if anyone know what was causing this issue.
Running Script: \KBInfo\UpdateMediSpan.kb.zip.cpp
CInstall::UpdateMedispan File: kb.zip Exception: Installation fault occurred: A problem occurred during the installation request. The content for MCL 5.1 CA en-US cannot be installed. The ProductSubset already exists and cannot be overwritten by a total install.
Try to right click on "server setup" and select "run as administrator" the try to install KB again.
I installed the June Update last night without incident. I noticed the following in the installation instructions for the June KB Update,
Disable Common Even Model subscriptions
During the update process, Common Event Model subscriptions should be disabled to
avoid creation of CCDA documents while the underlying content is being updated. QIE
channels uploading data to CQR need not be disabled.
which I've never noticed in other KB Update intructions.
We are running CEMR 9.8, and to disable the common even model subscriptions, I went to Go-> Setup -> Settings -> Interoperability -> Configuration and disabled our subscriptions. When the update was over I reenabled the subscriptions.
Also, as vernleblanc suggested above, I run all installs for Centricity with the elevated Admin account by right-clicking the setup.exe for the KB Update and choosing "Run As Administrator."
I wish you luck with resolving your issue.
-Chris
Thank you Vernleblanc, unfortunately that didn't fix it :/
I will try disabling the common event model tonight and see if that lets it go through. I got GE on the phone this morning after an hour of them troubleshooting it they said they would call back later. Hopefully that will get it to go through!
Thanks
-Michael
We had issues with the June KB as well (CEMR) but it eventually took and, so far, we've been ok. (installed last Wednesday night).
Malwert, Please keep us posted.
Any word on this error? I'm receiving the same thing now!
Sorry for the delay, I thought i had already posted this, I ended up getting a hold of GE, The system thought it was already updated the tech had to run some scripts resetting version numbers. It had also null'ed out a few fields in regards to last update too which we had to reset. Once those things were fixed the update went in no problem.
