Ran across a bizarre behavior. I was re-coding some buttons to add the ICD-10 code to the ICD-9 diagnosis code specified in the MEL_ADD_ORDER command. When the diagnosis isn't in the Problem list, everything works as expected. You see the ICD-9 and 10 codes show up on the order and they are exported through the LinkLogic Procedures task.
The same code, when the Problem already exists in the Problem list, duplicates the diagnoses, so you get two pairs of ICD-9/10 codes and it is exported that way. Interestingly, in my test case, the diagnoses were in the order 9 then 10 when the problem wasn't on the chart, and when it was, it reverses to 10 then 9 in the HL7. I've opened a case with GE to see if this is a known issue and if maybe something was done about it in Service Pack 10.
Hi David, we noted the exact same issue to GE a couple weeks ago as we tested SP10 LA and started making our ICD10 form updates. We currently have the SP10GA in test. There is nothing in it that addresses the MEL_ADD_ORDER inability to add both a 10 and 9 code to a single diagnosis (unless it hits the problem list). I will inquire for an SR number, and see if any hope on something in SP11 (which I think is forcasted for mid Oct to be GA).
