Having issue where a user is adding a new med, and wants to click save / close, but the buttons are gone completely. User cannot exit the form.
Does anyone know what causes this, or what can be done to move forward ? User had to reboot, because she could not close the form.

We've seen the prescriptions form resolves too big for the visible screen size so the bottoms normally at the bottom are sized off the visible screen.
We've solved it first by checking the Display settings are set to smaller 100% rather than medium or large 150% and if that doesn't solve it check that the screen resolution is set higher.

We are having this same issue- I have a case into our VAR who has already escalated to GE for assistance. We are on 12.2.2 and it is driving some of our docs crazy. I do think it is interesting about the resolution-- that very well could be it since we are noticing if we put the note on hold and go into another exam room or the office, it will be available.
Not sure if this is your problem, but you should verify that the scale and layout settings property under Windows is set to 100%. If it is set to 125% or higher, then several screens within Centricity and other legacy apps will not display properly. You can access these settings by right-clicking your desktop and selecting "Display Settings" (Windows 7 and 10). Make sure the scale is set to 100%. Many computers come shipped with the default display settings configured to scale at 125%.
I reported this issue 6/30/17 under SR 1-1119948263. Not sure we ever resolved. We were basically told to use a work around of ending the med and prescribing new but that isn't good clinically. It was suggested at one point that the affected med could have a drug interaction comment that it didn't like and so that is why we should end and start new. Someone else mentioned that they had seen formularies cause issues and I noticed that if I went in and attached formulary to the med for the pt provider had issue with, I could reproduce every time. If there wasn't a formulary attached it didn't happen. However my provider is never selecting a formulary so unless it is attaching automatically, not sure how it happens. The one provider sees it maybe once a month or every few months. Others have seen also but sporadic. They end task and re-open Centricity but may not end up prescribing in the note. We also had display issues at time but the ok/close button disappearing is separate from that. Thanks. Jen
We have also had the same problem and I reported it to GE as well. It seems to happen sporadically. So I don't think it's the providers displays on the computer since same patient other meds and/or other patients work just fine with all buttons available.
I was given the same work around as Jennifer. End the med and re-enter it. Not a good resolution since you lose all prescribing history.
We have experienced the issue as well. We have not found a way to replicate the problem on demand.
If you have a provider that gets stuck in the screen you can tell them to use the Enter/Esc keys to get out of the form, remove the med and add it back in.
