I have been working on merging duplicate pharmacies but notice the sources pharmacies is not merging into the destination. I receive a pop up stating the merge has been successful but when I look after the merge and the following day the pharmacies have not been merged. Any thoughts?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Do you happen to have the "show inactive" box checked? I expect, but don't know for sure, when pharmacies are merged, one would be given a status of inactive rather than actually deleted.

Good Thought but there is not an "inactive" box we are on EMR 9.8 unsure if that makes a difference but thanks for the thought.
You may want to try removing them from within the ESM console. I usually get a message stating you "cannot merge an online pharmacy" and it fails, even if you are merging an offline into an online. I just remove the offline pharmacy instead of merging. I also took the ability to create a pharmacy away from everyone except myself and a couple of our nurses.
We have not seen how we can take the priv away or else we would we are currently on EMR 9.8 and do not see how we would be able to restrict this priv if you have a way please let us know and we will try it out. I will try the EMS Console route. Appreciate the help.
Going through the same issue, have a ticket open with GE for awhile now. It is apparently a know "rare" issue but they did at least acknowledge it as a known thing.
I also have heard from GE that after you merge you need to remove the inactive pharmacy or there is something that happens where it tries to match again? Wish I had a better explanation but after I merge a pharmacy I always delete the inactive pharmacy from the system.
Hope that helps.
Janet
If the pharmacies are mapped to send electronically, they will not merge until they are unmapped.
