I am trying to update our providers physical exams to include obsterms. When testing in EMR, I am seeing that some obsterms are not translating properly. I have obsterms assigned to data that translates to the chart note and obsterms assigned to data that does not input into the chart note and is not saving in the template.
I've tried clearing the translation and just using default, but the same obsterms keep giving me an error. I have radio buttons and edit fields that have obsterms, some work and some do not. I am at a loss, or I am over looking something simple. Any suggestions?
Hard to answer without seeing a few screenshots, or looking at the VFE form. My first guess is that there is a spelling error in the OBS Code, and thus you are not matching to anything that can be updated.
Can you attach the form to an update?
are you getting any MEL showing up in the text form? That is usually a good start. Are they in visibility sections that are set not to translate if they aren't view-able. Other than that, I agree with Joseph, we need to see it.
I am not getting MEL vomit in the text form. I do not have any visibility fields set up to hide text. Other check boxes in the form are tied to obs terms and translate to the text with no problem. I've tried clearing and using the default, and there are just some fields that will not translate text. The 'grip' and 'pinch' fields will not even stay completed with data on the form.
Below is how it looks in the test EMR, the 'incision is well healed' is an obs term and selected but not translating where as 'skin is intact' is also an obs term but is translating.
Here is the form in VFE view: not sure if that is helpful, I couldn't add two pictures to the previous reply with the view in EMR. I used default for most translations since I am pretty new to VFE and writing obs code. If there are any other views you'd like to see let me know. Thanks!
honestly, this would be easier to troubleshoot if you uploaded or emailed a copy of the file.
