We recently upgraded to Centricity CPS 12.3.0.2242 with the promise that it would eliminate our issue with using the PRINTHANDOUT call via action button as well as some other UI concerns.
So far we have just found that the system freezes from the previous build have been replaced with crashes.
- Has anyone else experienced the PRINTHANDOUT issue and if so, have you found a good fix or workaround? (Other than using NEWHANDOUT)
- Has anyone found additional bugs or "showstoppers" in 12.3.0.2242? We are eager to upgrade, but don't want our users to suffer.
Thanks in advance!
Pretty much anywhere we have a button to print a handout we get an error.
Freezing was due to error messages don't displaying like they should. Most errors are able to be cleared and the user can continue to work without issues. However some do crash the session.
The biggest issue is with getting a good workflow for the new Rx Refill form. You have to be patience with it. It takes a few seconds at time to respond to users clicks.
I seen just a bit ago they posted a link to 12.3.05

No we haven't found a good workaround, we delayed our upgrade due to this issue, we found out by following another CHUG thread here. I opened a ticket with GE after we discovered this and were able to reproduce the issue in our test environment. I just asked for more information on when we could expect a resolution. I have not heard back, the case was opened on 1/18.
The latest patch available at Engage.gehealthcare.com
at least it shows the error and crash now instead on only freezing, you can see the crash and click on on the dialog box and it will allow you to continue your work without closing the encounter.
Does anyone know if this bug is also in CEMR 9.12?
We upgraded our test environment to the new, new patch version this morning (12.3.0.2243). The error on PRINTHANDOUT still occurs. No hard crash or freeze, but you get a "Centricity - System Error" with the errors:
Error occurred in class , method PatientEdHandoutDlg::OnPrint
Thanks for all the replies so far...we're hoping someone has found a workaround/hack.
Thank you for the info, was hoping it would have resolved the print handout issue.
Hello,
What version of MS server are you using to host the client . Sever 2008 R2 or Server 2012 R2?
Hello ,
Did anyone discover a fix for this issue?
Nope, still crashes.
Michael Gibson posted that there is a possible fix for the PRINTHANDOUT crash on this topic here.
