We've discovered that the clinical visit summary in CPS12 SP7 prints the patient's home location across the top of the report, rather than the location of the visit. For example, if the patient's home location is Granite State Internal Medicine, and the CVS is printed following their visit at New England Heart Institute, the report reads "Granite State Internal Medicine" across the top. The location you're logged into appears to be irrelevant.
This is a big problem for us - has anyone else encountered it? We're not aware of a way to edit that, but again we're short on documentation of this feature in general.
We noticed that back in July when we installed CPS12. It pulls the patient's PM registration home location instead of the EMR document location. We do not know of a way to edit it because the new CVS is html format instead of CCC or handouts. We just "deal with it" on a daily basis and train our front desk staff to pay attention to the patient's home location upon check in.
Thank you for this post, I hadn't even thought to check this yet. We have 75 independent practices that share the EMR... this is going to be a huge issue for us. I will post again if I get any feedback from GE.
Mike
We just heard back from GE: "I pulled the SPR info and this issue is not scheduled to be fixed until 12.1. The SPR # is 61795 for your records."
And since we've already been told there will be no 12.1 release, I assume this means 12.2.
Added SPR to title
Hi all,
Since we are EMR I had a ticket put in for ourselves referencing the SR in this post - our EMR specific ticket is SR# = 1-604118524. Not sure if it matters that we did one EMR specific but I figured it couldn't hurt.
Thanks
Mike
