Good Afternoon,
We are experiencing the bug in the new Rx refill form that if the medication name and the instructions are yellow in the request and the request is changed to a different dose on the refill fulfillment, it will create two instances of the medication in the medication list on the patients chart. We understand this is being worked on as we speak and we know we now have a workaround to teach our team members but we are now wanting to know what patients charts are currently affected so we can inactivate the duplicate medications.
Looking to see if anyone has a query handy that would show patients that have duplicate medications on their medication list.
Thanks in advance
I don't have a report but am interested in what your work around is. We are having a lot of trouble with this form and getting the workflow right. There are times when the user will go to sign the update after they've authorized the refill and the document will be blank - somehow the text disappears.
So that is a different issue.... and we have that one too... No work around for that 🙁
Our workaround for the duplication is that if the med and the instructions are both in yellow is to either 1. deny the med and rebuild (athenahealth's recommendation) or to 2. fax to pharmacy.... unfortunately since we are only doing PI for Q4 this year, our teams have opted for number 2 until the fix is in place. Not good.....
Thank you. And I found out late yesterday the the disappearing text is a known issue in CPS. We are on CEMR 9.12 so I hope we're included in the fix when it's available.
