CHUG guru's,
I have been dealing with random changes to the responsible provider field in registration for some time. Unfortunately over the past 2-3 months we have noticed a large increase in the frequency of these random changes. We have not changed our workflows. I would like to provide more supporting documentation but we have found no common events around the changes. Sometimes long established patients who have never seen a provider are spontaneously changed to that provider who has never seen them. If anyone has information about causes or known product defect please share. If anyone has a work around PLEASE Share!! Any information will help.

Do you have any new interfaces that could possibly be updating registration?

If not an interface issue as mentioned above, I wouldn't rule out an issue (corrupted index?) in either the PERSON table or the USRINFO table.
The RESPPROVID is the PVID in the USRINFO table. If no others have noted similar issues with the same build you are using, you might want to verify the integrity of those tables. (Assuming you are still on C-EMR, of course.)

We don't have any new interfaces. We are about to institute online scheduling but this is not online yet. I'll look into the possibility of Table corruption this weekend. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for the info !
