On several occasions, one of our providers upon refilling meds for a patient, example Quantity 30 and Refills 0, but upon clicking renew and signing, the Rx that gets sent out as quantity 30 and Refills 9, and hence is recorded within the patient's chart reflects 9 refills. We even called the pharmacy and indeed they said they received request for 9 refills, and we had to inform them it was really 0 refills. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? I tend to think the provider could have fat fingered the entry, but then again, if he is simply refilling as is, and not needing to make any modifications to the previous quantity and refill amount, you'd expect it to stay the same. Anyway, just trying to see if anyone has experienced this phenomenon.
We're not seeing that, but we're definitely seeing the SIG change back to the one that was previously there after changes were made and the document was put on hold for the provider's signature. Not great, Bob.
