We are planning to install SP12 sometime over the next couple of weeks. The release notes state that SP12 in not compatible with IE11. Our radiology program requires IE11 so I am curious if anyone is using IE11 with SP12 and what kind of problems they have run in to?
We have service pack 10 and have been using IE 11 for quite some time. We haven't had any issues related to IE11.
If you are using IE11, you have to ensure that you have one of 2 settings in the compatibility mode settings.
Either have the Display intranet sites in Compatibility View checked (Default) or add it to the list of sites added to compatibility mode.
I ran into something similar with a signature application and we had to disable the intranet sites in compatibility.
There are group policies that can assist with these items. Although the Display Intranet sites requires a GPO for a registry change.
Make sure you test any/all internal sites when you make these changes. Older versions of some web services still require compatibility mode. (E.G. SharePoint 2007)
Like @jkratzer we also made some GPO changes and have IE11 working fine with SP10 minus the dosing calculator which I never trusted anyways.
As Bovie mentioned - the only thing you cannot make work is the dosage calculator. We have IE 11 in our Test environment but Production is held at IE10 as we have several providers who use it for pediatric patients.
