Has anyone found a solution to the left-over problem from earlier CPS versions where you could select a diagnosis and then mark "History of" or "Question of" or "Rule Out"? You can no longer do this, but we did it a lot before we went to CPS10 and 12.
I discovered this was a problem when a patient of mine was determined to be my highest risk patient in all 2016. She did not seem like my highest risk patient. I knew the risk calculator was based on ICD-10 codes so I went to her chart and saw that I had been documenting and billing using "History of Non Hodgkin Lymphoma" with a code of C85.9 instead of the proper Z85.72.
We've had CPS a long time, after writing a report, we determined I have at least 385 who likely need active problem corrections. Spread that across 60+ providers and that will take a long time for anyone to correct. Has anyone figured out a script or another "easy" way to make these corrections?
Thanks,
Harriett
In my opinion this is actually a bug in the CCDA that GE creates. If you look at a raw CCDA in the problems section, there is no where that it is even documented that it is Hx of or Fhx of (we have that a lot). In my opinion, the problems section section of the CCDA should just ignore anything in the problems that is not Dx of. I had opened a ticket with GE about it but it never went anywhere.
