has anyone upgraded to SP 9 yet? Im on version 12.0.7. I am debating weather to update to 8, and then 9, or go stright to 9. I herd the SP 8 update requies every workstation to up manually updated, do you have to do the same in 9?
thoughts? suggestions?
I just went to SP9 this past weekend. I loaded sp8 (Basically database update only) then loaded SP9. I didn't know if I needed to do 8 first but did. I did have to load the client on all Terminal Servers and FAT clients. I should update the clients and it might work. I have had issues with that in the past, so I choose to uninstall the old client and load the new fresh.
Are their good changes on SP9?
My soul purpose was for the updates to the immunization management. We are converting over to the HTML form and wanted to have as many bugs fixed as possible before we did. Other than that I would have probably waited.
The Release notes will give you a list of fixes for each.
Out biggest issue is UI errors and its not fixed yet. We would be in very good shape if this was taken care of.
So far so good on SP 9. We skipped 8 as 9 came out a couple of days before we were going to install 8 so we crossed out fingers and did 9 instead. We wanted all the CVS updates we could get.

Workstations will need to be manually updated until CPS 12.2 is released. This is the release GE told me that functionality will be available to perform a silent unattended installation using an MSI file.
Anyone else currently on SP 9, I would love to hear any feedback on that SP. We are gearing up for ICD 10 and since there are some changes for the search process we would like to go to update as soon as possible unless there have been other issues found with it.

This is week 2 on SP9. I haven't seen any new issues as of yet. But can't say the problem search is any better either.

Were still on SP8 but I would go straight to 9 if I was on 7.
We just upgraded to 9 two weeks ago and we are experiencing an issue where the CVS does not generate. This has been a nagging issue for our providers since the update. Our vendor hasn't been helpful in troubleshooting. Anyone else experience this?

That has been our only issue and I actually just solved the problem. This issue was related to the CCC9.1 upgrade not 12.0.9 (we did both at the same time). CCC upgrade introduces Conditional Action Metrics (CAMS) and those run with the generate CVS button on the patient instructions CCC form. One of this is hanging up our system. AFter deactivating all of these our CVS's are printing out much faster! We are going to start adding back one CAM at a time in order to find out which one is causing the system to hang up.
Other than that, 12.0.9 has been good. We are looking at installing the patch for 12.0.9 at the end of the month.
