Has anyone done this update? I haven't done 12.2 yet so I am thinking of doing this one instead. The "1" is probably just maintenance release over 12.2. It is 1.6GB instead of 1.3GB for 12.2 so there is likely something in that extra 300MB. There are a few cool things I saw in the release notes but I want to make sure there isn't a downside to this

Mike,
I don't have an answer on how it is but I was informed the sp2 should be GA the first week of May. I am waiting for it before upgrading.
Ernie
We are already committed to a date later this month so it is either 12.2 or 12.2.1 for us
Mine blew up during install on my lab server. No help from GE yet so I will forego 12.2.1 when I do the upgrade.
The error suggested it was possible to continue but after pressing YES I was asked for a password which I would only be able to get from GE support. Over a week and not a peep on the case so I restored from backup since I only have one test server
I would hold off a little while longer. We have updated to 12.2.1 and have received a lot of complaints related to the new family history and social history HTML forms. There were some fundamental flaws in the text translation logic which caused us to revert back to the old CCC forms. The only problem is, GE changed those forms as well and you cannot modify comments on the family history form without receiving an error. We have figured out how to work around the error, but I am hopeful they will have a fix in the not too distant future. We've reported some other issues to our vendor as well and it looks like those are slated to be fixed in 12.2.3. If it were me, I would wait until GE had released 12.2.3 which is scheduled for early summer (maybe June).
Ernie T - have you heard any feedback on sp2?
