Good morning,
We upgraded to 12.3.3 but are having issues installing it on Windows 7 PCs. We have IE 11, .net 4.7.2 and higher on all the machines but the install just freezes.
Anyone run into this and able to resolve it?
Are you trying to install Centricity by hand or are you using an automation tool? Inside of the installation folder on the Jboss server there are a few more dependencies. I believe there are two Microsoft KB updates in there in addition to the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Native Client.
- Microsoft .NET KB4040973 (x64)
- Microsoft .NET KB4043764 (x64)
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Native Client 10.00.2531 (x86/x64 depending on your architecture)
- You could also try the .NET Prerequisite which is in this sub-folder versus the one currently installed
Have you ensured that all other Windows updates have been applied on these workstations?
If you're trying to install by hand and the installation seems to just stall out, is there any error message of any kind? Maybe try bringing the installation MSI folder to the machine locally versus streaming it from Jboss. That would at least take any firewall or network inspection items out of the equation.
Hope that helps,
Matt
