We are supposed to be installing 9.8.4 as a test later today, with our planned go-live very soon with our VAR.
We have read about many problems with 9.8.3, but have not see much (any?) feedback on improved operations or performance with the patch. So, has anyone loaded 9.8.4 yet and if so, what are your observations?
Thanks.
How did your upgrade go? We are looking to upgrade in test next week and production next weekend. Are there any tips you can provide us?
As I write this, 8/15, we have postponed are scheduled 9.8.4 live upgrade. (We upgraded our test environment a few days ago.)
We have heard of one site experiencing issues with 9.8.4, so until understanding the details - to know if we might also based on systems - we simply postponed.
But, I would really like to hear form others.
Thanks.
Our medical group is currently testing 9.8.4 for a move to production this weekend. Any information about issues with the service pack would be helpful as we have not yet discovered issues in testing.

How are thing going on SP4? We're looking to go to it soon, just wondering if there's anything we can expect.
How are things going for you on SP4? Well I hope. We are wanting to do this soon but, are waiting to see how other have done. Any insight is much appreciated.
We've installed SP4 (actually SP5 as well) into our Test environment. The great advantage to SP4 is that you can turn of drug interactions for drug-age, drug-gender and drug-problem. This is a huge plus as most of the complaints we are getting now are with the myriad of contraindications they have to click through.
This is set up through the JMX Console and is a feature new to GE support. Tom Bell (GE support guru) and I worked through it today. He was not even aware of how to perform this task prior to.
I'm going to start a new thread for SP5 so check there if you are considering this update.

Oh, and you will have to either push out the new Immunization form (and create the directory) or copy manually to the clients under an Immunization directory. If you don't, you will get MEL vomit. This step is provided in the release notes.
