Does anyone have any information about the ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) errors? A few folks mentioned them on the old CHUG, but there was never any detail provided.
We're seeing these more and more frequently. We're on Centricity EMR 9.5 SP1 (9.5.1_10) in a Citrix environment.
Thanks!

I believe it is one of the fixes in Service Pack 2 but we are holding off on moving forward with it as several sites are having serious issues with it. There is at least one thread on the boards on it.
Thanks, David.
We got someone at GE yesterday who was very helpful. She recommended some server settings to check, and a told us about a few workflows that are known to cause these.
We're holding off on SP2, as well.

In general they are generic errors usually caused by permissions. I have seen them more with Centricity than any other program I have supported in my career. I like to keep things secure (no admin rights, firewalls, tight security). GE, on the other hand, likes things wide open but they have gotten better about that mindset. You have to fight support on many of their 'fixes' or else you will be come a full time virus/malware cleaner-upper for your practice.

GE told me that SP3 should take care of these errors, but haven't said when it will be ready.

UPDATE:
I opened a GE case on this error with a specific problem with a person who enters charges. We have 4 people doing the same job but they all take turns, changing monthly. Their hardware is all the same (New i7, Win7/X64, 4GB RAM) but one person in particular was getting the error since this is her month. Several workarounds were discussed like disable skinning in CPS (Ctrl-Alt-J but you will get a windows blind error), increasing RAM and/or getting an external video card. We opted for a new video card and that seems to have fixed the problem.
Apparently the problem in this case has to do with video resources. Kind of like the old GDI resource problem from the Windows 3.1/95/98 days. The only thing I can say is different with this person's computer and the others is she has an odd resolution setting so she can see it better. GE did mention that 1024x768 is the minimum it should be.
Don't know if this will help or not...
