I am looking for a way to provide users with less passwords to remember. We us a Citrix environment for almost everything. Users complain that they have to login to citrix and then login to EMR and their passwords are not always able to be syncd when one changes. Is there a way to enable any type of active directory integration into the login so that it shares their AD password? Is there any plan for this if not?
I am looking at SSO solutions but they are incredibly expensive. I would love to know what others are using and if they like it.
We use "generic" boxes in the clinical areas and have citrix set to auto-signon to the logged in user via active directory. Then all you have to do is sign in to the EMR(s).
The generic boxes have restricted access to the internet via our whitelist. If you want full access you have to be in your office logged in as yourself. BTW we don't allow interactive login via the generic boxes but you can get to your desktop via citrix access gateway.
The generic boxes have the same username and password so if you have to restart it anyone can log in.
Similiar set up here.
Generic boxes with set passwords, and give you shortcuts on your desktop to Citrix/RDP apps. From there folks have to login to applications, but they can't do much from just a generic box.
