Looking for insight into possibly using the ADD_MUACTIVITY_LOG() functionality to input data into the MU_ACTIVITY_LOG within the ACCESS_DEVICE and the DELIVERYMETHOD attributes. I am using the following to record patient specific handouts behind a button;
{ADD_MUACTIVITY_LOG(12,USER.LOGINNAME,"\\cps-sql1\CPS_PtEducation\htn.pdf")}
{ADD_MUACTIVITY_LOG(12,USER.LOGINNAME,"\\cps-sql1\CPS_PtEducation\quitting_smoking_03242013.pdf")}
All works well but the issue is because the ACCESS_DEVICE and/or DELIVERYMETHOD attributes are not populated with ('CPS - Patient Education Viewer' or 'CPS - Patient Education Chart Handout') or 'Print', respectively, the CQM reporting is not accounting for and overlooking these instances.
Would anyone know additional elements for the ADD_MUACTIVITY_LOG() function to populate these attributes or be able to share how they have overcome this issue? The use of the 'i' button has proven to be difficult for our providers and they desire to continue using the in-form buttons for patient education. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
We would have to agree, the workflow for the 'i' button is not very good because you have to have the problem/med/allergy in the chart, signed, before you can do a search and even then it is very limited in what you can find.
