Is there an ability to add a custom medication to the preference list? I'm being told it's locked but that just seems incorrect? There are many medications that have different packaging (and therefore, their NDCs will differ - but still listed under same medication record/GPI). If the desire is to have the provider select say a bulk bottle product vs. a unit dose product of the same medication from the medication preference list - could we create a custom item if one is not available from our list? For perspective - we are on CPS 12 version and use a separate Pharmacy Management System to fill/dispense the prescriptions. However, the providers order the meds in Centricity to interface over to the Rx system.
