Hello,
I have a form that adds in an order, along with a diagnosis code using the "MEL_ADD_ORDER" function.
The problem I am seeing is that in the orders window, under the potential diagnosis section, there are additional options coming up that I do not want.
The additional potential diagnosis that I do not want,
1) Are not on the patients problem list,
2)They are italicized,
3)They have a yellow/orange backround instead of the usual black text on white background
When you mouse over a normal potential diagnosis that is on a patients problem list, It will say that it is a coded, active problem,
However on these unintended potential diagnosis, it says
"coded diagnosis previously associated with selected order, but never on problem list".
Has anyone seen this problem before? I did not add these codes to the form.
Is there a setting in Centricity that I accidently accivated that adds these codes automatically?
Thanks
Which software version are you on? Have you recently updated or installed a service pack?
We recently upgraded to 12.2, however this problem was also happening before the upgrade
This is a feature of CPS that we discovered recently as well. If an order has ever been placed with an ICD code that was not added to the problem list, that code will appear in an orange box as you described. It is helpful for some of our common lab orders, where MA's are putting a "Screening" ICD-10 code, but it is annoying for any order codes that you do not want people to pick from.
I have not looked into getting these removed from the lists when they appear, so I'm sorry I can't help you there. You could probably reach out to GE to find out about it.
Thanks for the response,
I was thinking that it was a form issue, and i was going mad trying to find the offending code.
