When our nurse uses the Vital signs form to enter NKDA, it pulls over to the allergy box on the patient summary page. However, when she puts that document on hold, the NKDA shows up for the physician in that box. It's just blank. Also, if he goes to update allergies, it doesn't show up that NKDA has ever been entered other than by seeing in the "Clinical Updates this visit" box at the bottom of the page.
Once the note is completely signed, it does show up that "This patient has no known drug allergies. But, if he goes in on a new visit, and clicks update allergies, it still shows nothing in current allergies, or lack there of.
Has anyone else ran into this and came up with a resolution? This has caused our doctor to not really trust that his nurse is entering or addressing allergies therefore, he is redoing most of the work she has already done.
