Hello!
Are there any fellow CPS 12.3 sites using CPS in their Ambulatory Surgery Centers successfully? We have two ambulatory surgery centers that I am wanting to migrate to an EMR (yes, they are still on paper) sooner than later.
Prior to me starting in this position , they had look at GE, but did not move forward because there was not a Medication Reconciliation piece available.
Looking forward to hearing from someone,
Jill
Sorry in advance if this post isn't helpful as I am just the computer geek for the clinic!
We looked into it a while back because we already used Centricity PM and Centricity EMR in our clinic (eventually combined into CPS). We decided against it and went with "Vision" currently owned by Source Medical. We do use the chart portion of CPS for patient charting, and Vision for the scheduling and state reporting. The state reporting was unavailable in the GE offering I believe (Florida) but this may have changed. GE was going to be much more expensive. Our experience with Vision hasn't always been smooth but it seems to be stable at least. I really don't have to do that much administration to keep it going; just backups and the occasional upgrade. There is one other clinic in town who has Vision and CPS (EMR only-transitioned the PM part to another vendor)

If it's any interest, while we are not using CPS EMR, we've been using GE's Oracle EMR in our spine surgery center since 2007.
