On Monday at 9:00 a.m. on new patient visits we started running into an issue where the provider goes in to the encounter and attempts to add a problem. At that time they receive a pop up stating that another user is currently updating. The thing is that the user is NOT currently updating the note. In fact, the other user has been out of the note for 15 minutes or so. We have discovered that the quickest way to clear that message and allow the provider to proceed is for the user to go to the computer where they are supposedly updating the chart - open the encounter - ADD A PROBLEM - put the document on hold and the pop-up goes away and the provider can proceed. Of course the problem entered by the user then has to be removed. I have had multiple conversations with GE and they are trying to help but what they tried hasn't worked. Has anyone encountered this before and, if so, how did you resolve it? We are on CPS12 SP10. We installed SP10 about 4 weeks ago so that isn't the issue. The only thing that took place on Monday when this started was GE did a data submission reset. That and the issue we are having should not have anything to do with one another but it is quite coincidental. Any thoughts or suggestions?
We are having the same issue - it is random when it happens. I have not been able to recreate the issue but know that it is happening. We are on SP12 SP10 as well, but did have the issue before SP10. Have you received any further feedback from GE on this? Thanks Deb

I think this is the same issue a user of mine is having.
Has there been any further insights as to the cause/solution?
Thanks,
Mike
We are on CPS 12 and just installed SP13 this past weekend.
Unfortunately this annoying pop up happened again today. The specific Pop Up Message reads:
"Another user is currently updating data for this section.
Lastname, Firstname on workstation HP-I5-02.
Another user is deleting the fax status messages.
Try again in a few minutes."
The user said she just clicked the OK button and continued on. It did not really prevent her from doing whatever she was doing. It is just annoying.
If anyone has any insights please share.
Thanks,
Mike
