Hello:
We're hoping to help optimize one of our locations, which falls a bit out of our norm. While our facility is primarily Outpatient-Ambulatory based, we have a detox center that functions more as an Inpatient unit. Our main issues around this facility are with bed management, acuity and eMAR. I'm curiuos if any other facilities out there are using Centricity and/or other software to successfully manage the three outlined items. Currently, our bed management and eMAR are custom developed programs that are becoming "old" and rather than trying to keep them living, we'd like to see if other more robust software already exists and is being used succesfully.
- Bed Management - custom internal developed program. We need a system that is able to track a patients bed movement real-time.
- eMAR - custom internal developed program tied in with Bed Management. The facility here previously tried implementing a more robust eMAR; however, the software/implementation failed and the clinic reverted to the custom program. We need a system that is able to display medication being dispensed and how often it's being given at a glance versus having to dig around for the historical info.
Any information, suggestions, and/or tips would be great!
