If so, how did it go? Performing a test upgrade within the next week or so. Then we're on to production!
We are very curious as well
Another department in our organization has. Testing has well however, there is another release of SP 10 (they're on LA - Limited Availability). Supposedly SP10 GA (General Availability) is out this week. ??
We have SP10 LA for CEMR in our test environment currently. Here is a list of issues that we are experiencing or have been reported by other organizations:
1. System performance in our test environment is atrocious (blank updates taking 43 seconds to load). NOTE: We resolved this issue. The upgrade enabled eSM in our Test environment (not connected to e-prescribing). Disabling this setting restored performance.
2. The "Change" potential diagnosis feature in the orders module will select a random diagnosis from the list if the patient has a duplicate problem in their list.
3. There still isn't a tool/setting that allows us to manage smart lists on the back end.
4. Results in the (internal) problem search are returned in alphabetical order without any weighted relevancy.
5. We don't have the advanced (HLI Cloud Based) search enabled. Many sites reporting serious issues such as pushing an incorrect problem/code to the problem list.
6. Flags more than a year old are removed during the update.
7. More to come...
GE is still stating that the GA release will be available in approx. 2 weeks with a number of "fixes"
Any CPS SP10 testers care to weigh in? Are you seeing similar behavior as mjharunk reports for CEMR? Are other CEMR SP10 testers having similar results?
We are CEMR and have been testing LA SP10 for two weeks now. Agree with hjharunk's notes. Additionally I think there are some customers in LA that reported issues with CCC forms & mel vomit. We may wait for the GA build for SP10 before putting in production, as that is supposed to contain several fixes to some of the problem search issues.
I was told to today on the GE ICD 10 call that GA was to be out this month depending upon the folks that are doing the testing. Wow. This doesn't sound good though.
I was told on a call with GE today (which also referenced SP 11?) that SP 10 would be in GA this week.
Trying SP10 today in test, here goes something!
I installed it today with my usual problem I have on the test server but got through it by reinstalling Jboss several times.
I am just the computer nerd so I cannot speak to the usability but here are my observations thus far:
-java.exe taking up 9,962,984K. which is more than double the amount of our production 12.0.6.
-new server config tool is nice
-The preflight checklist gave me an "X" on items 16-21 and provided a way to investigate each one. There wasn't any fix script though. Re-running setup made it work with those problems. I feel like there is a legal (lawyer) component there to for someone to look at issues. I am going to review and address them in my test system because this DB is from production
-Newest KB update would not load. I tried several times and gave up for now. I am curious if I will have the same problem in production. I will find out soon
-It took 30 minutes on pretty old hardware (12.0.6-->12.0.10)

TNC, as far as im concerne. I didn't see any ICD in the system after the update, so i have to reload all the ICD from factory and later have to apply the lasted Full knowledgebase update which i believe is july and then applied all the other ones .
That makes sense. I do recall seeing a message to that effect but I wanted someone else to check to be sure. The person who is checking for me was having trouble logging in but I just got her in a few minutes ago. I bet she is about to tell me the same thing. Was it a lot of work to load the ICD-10 again or just that update thing? I ask because she has done a lot of preparation for the ICD-10 change and I hope that her work is not lost. If it is, I suspect that it can be exported from the production DB
Thanks for the tip
Mike
Installed last week in test and it was not smooth.
- had to install jboss multiple times
- had to apply update twice
- java.exe was up to 9gb in RAM consumption
Seems that a few of our forms were crashing local clients as well. It took me a few days to get test up and running again.
Also seeing a bug where problem lists crash the client as well. anyone else run into that?
jdibiasio, Any new updates from your group on sp10?
Actually yes, right before the weekend we got it squared away
Java.exe is taking up so much memory because of changed to the wrapper.txt file in jboss. The consumption line almost triples from the last version, this has to remain as such so don't lower it
to resolve the problem list and search crashes:
1. Stop jBoss Service
2. Go to jBoss Directory: jboss\server\default\Solr
3. Delete all folders containing FS, PM, and QS (folder named: websitenameFS and so on)
4. Restart jBoss
It rebuilds those folders, and fixes the problem.
The production install is really going to be fun
