having some issue while installing the application server/jboss with the new
Centricity Server Configurator.
After validating database connection and then validating and adding the hostname for the JBoss server.
i click in validate & install.
the validation again goes without any issue, then the installation start and after about 5 to 7 minutes of running it stop and shows an red X mark in installation.
this is what my logs contains

Hi,
The log is reporting that there cannot be a blank database password at 4:42:58 pm. Try entering the data again check that password was input/accepted.
yes i was, but it was a single server install.
+1 to EMP's response above. Enter the creds and password. Even though Server Setup will let you pass through this without credentials, the Server Configurator needs them.
EDIT: SP10 installed in our test environment without issues. We are installing it into production tomorrow, 8/29/15.
Thanks for the reply, but non of that was the issue. Password was setup properly.
the issue is with the Server configurator, I just realized that it does not support special character.
everything after any kind of special character will be ignored.
Which field do you see this problem with special characters in? Thanks
Application username and password for the database.
does not support any kind of special character.like : @!#$%^&*()
so complex password is out of the question
Strange manifestation... We were able to use ours without issues and it contains a few special characters.
In my test environment I used appuser/appuser. There is a standard password used by a few GE techs which ends in '@1' which I expect to be problematic if this is the case. The only reason I didn't use it was because I would have had to look it up and after multiple jboss reinstalls it was just easier to go with appuser/appuser

Mike,
In my experience working as a consultant with several GE clients, I think there was more than just a few GE techs using this. 😉
Oy vey!
