What is the relationship between the Appsession and iLicUserInfo tables?
When a user logs in does, it create multiple appsessions and use only one license?
We are running up against our maximum user licenses and wonder if orphaned logins are part of the problems. Orphaned logins being caused by system crashes, etc.
Thanks.
I know that before CPS 11, iLicUserInfo table controlled the count of logged in users, at CPS 10, that has changed but is still related. I recommend running Cleanup Logins and Clean AppSessions more frequently if you are having these issues continuously.
Cleanup logins is running every minute and Clean AppSessions is running every 5 minutes.
Talking with GE, the other issue is when a client crashes and lives orphaned logins/sessions.
These are difficult to track. We have 12 exam rooms, plus 2 mobile vans and support staff.
What is your general rule for licenses required? We have 60 licenses right now.
We are trying to manager it by restricting 'non-essetntial' use and fully logging out.
Thanks
we have 50 licenses, really the rule is 1 license = 1 user, however, GE warns you that you are logged into another system, but fails to give the option to the user to log-out.... this would save a lot of time if it was an orphaned login. so you can re-login, take another 1 license, plus the 1 license for the orphaned login, so you loose 2 licenses there. So allowing both scripts to run every minute or so will help prevent that.
