Hello,
We'll be migrating from EMR to CPS early in the new year and I am wondering what practices are using for automated appointment reminder calls. Years ago we used Televox but I'm wondering what other systems people have & really like.
Thanks
Pat
Hi Pat, we are on CPS 9.5 and using Phone Tree (formerly Powercalls). It works fairly well. We have been researching others that would document into the patients' charts that they confirmed their appt, and so far they are quite pricey.
We were on Televox (old system that set on our PC) and when that system crashed and TeleVox no longer supported it we did a lot of research and went with ClientTell. We intergraded with CPS and set up a SQL script that sends the list and then imports the respondes back into CPS -- no staff having to remember to upload a schedule. We did this because ClientTell was very low in cost - I will say after we did our deal TeleVox called and said they would have matched the price and they already had the process worked out and automated. If you do not have the ability to write a SQL script and set up a job to run and update - you may want to talk to TeleVox. But we are happy with the system we worked out with ClientTell - but TeleVox also had a great system and a automated process.
We send emails the week before -- we do this ourselves (created a report - export to excel and use mail merge in outlook to send out a reminder) - we did not want to pay for that -- but Televox already has that worked out too
We have used Patient Prompt for years and love it. integrates with CPS, can email, text call. will populate back to cps confirmed etc. excellet customer service, listen to customer ideas and wants.
We just started piloting Patient Prompt in a couple of our offices, and it's been great so far. I would echo Hilary's comments about the intergration and custom service.
