Has anyone sucessfully installed v19 with Active Directory (AD) but without Azure Active Directory (AAD)?
When setting Security in Server Setup, there's a new field that looks like it's prompting for an AAD login, but we have yet to move to Azure. There is seemingly no way to bypass this requirement.
What else is really strange is previously we had a test install of v20, and that Server Setup didn't have this field.
Currently we're just using basic application security to get in and test, but that is not feasible for our full agency. Any help would be great.
I cannot speak to your v19 upgrade without requiring it. My understanding was going to 9.10 ad 9.12 required it... we are on 9.8.12 and going to upgrade at the last moment....
I keep getting messages from athena asking for my azure info....
I can speak to that it is ridiculous that athenahealth pinned us down to requiring integration with ANY cloud provider. let alone Azure....
I manage a small clinic... if i ran a hospital, this would be insane.
If we were to do things correctly this would require much documentation for our security . Again... I cannot express how ridiculous i think this is... that they require this.
That said, it is very easy to setup.
I am an AWS guy.
I was able to figure out what to enter in that field. Initially, I tried everything I could think of. I tried using the same AD user and password that we use to grant general AD access, I tried my own admin username, I tried the sa user and password, and I tried the superuser (still with the default password).
Rereading the installation instructions, it specifically says that this field should contain the superuser name and password. To make sure I had the default password right, I logged into CPS with the superuser and was prompted to change the password.
I then went into the Security section again and entered superuser and the new password I used, and it worked!
So there you go, everyone. Change the superuser password by logging into CPS, THEN enter the new superuser and password into the additional field in the Security section.
