We are trying to add a barcode to our lab requisitions that would output the patients name, DOB, or MRN when scanned. Does anyone have a copy of this or know how to accomplish this? Thanks!

I don't have any examples, but you would need to use crystal with a barcode font if you wanted to do it within EMR. I think most EMR users that do this probably use Liaison's EMR-Link product to print their labels for labwork.

You'll need a barcode TrueType font (like Code 39 aka 3 of 9) on the computer/server where the reports are rendered. That font will allow alphanumeric content where some others are limited to just numeric values.
It works for either MS Word or Crystal reports and works well on regular paper printers. If you are trying to use a label printer like Dymo or Stripe, those can be tricky.

I'm not sure that would do you much good because my document would render as regular text without the font loaded on your system.
Purchase and load a Code 39 font onto your computer or server. Create a document as you would normally in Crystal, then change the font of the field you want to be shown as a barcode to the Code 39 font.
