We recently changed servers for Biscom fax and noticed that our users are no longer receiving a confirmation fax status in the patients chart. All other features of Biscom fax is working correctly. Is there a setting we are missing on the server that would create this disconnection? I can confirm we are still able to see the fax status in the fax status tab. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
We recently upgraded our EMR environment (and change EMR server names) and, as a result, we lost our fax status confirmations. Here's where I went in to change the name of the server that Biscom was sending to. From the sounds of it, you may need to add all this information back in because your Biscom was the one that changed and I'm guessing this entire entry is not in the system.
1. From Faxcom Suite for Windows application, open the Faxcom Queues Folder
2. In the right-hand window pane, right-click the Queue you need to modify and choose "Gateways, Clients and Extensions"
3. In the bottom portion of the new window (Extensions), click Add.
I've attached screenshots to this to show you how our environment is setup. We are an EMR 9.12 customer. Hopefully this helps!
To add to this as well you may need to add the SQL ODBC connection information back into the server and to biscom. PM me if you need additional help.
