I have a patient who has a note that still needs to be signed but it has a blue padlock next to it. I can't figure out how to unlock it. Any suggestions?
Download GEHC.Centricity.AdminToolbox.exe from GE. This will lead you through the process of unlocking your document. Be forewarned, it may not work. Search for prior posts on CHUG
That usually indicates that there is a clinical lock on the document. Check to see if there are any orders, medications or problems that need to be signed off on.
You can clear the lock by signing the clinical changes but not the note. Open the note, end the note and before you click hold, make sure the box is checked that says sign clinical changes.
We are on CPS12.0 SP13 and we have seen this happen before when a user was kicked out of Centricity by a Fatal error. This can sometimes leave erroneous locks on a document. You may need to look in the LogLocks table to see if there are any locks on that document that need to be cleared. You can determine the appropriate document by the SDID which ties to the Document table.
When we upgraded to 9.8, our admin tool broke but I downloaded the latest oracle drivers (ODAC for 11.2.030) and it worked. It always breaks my Centricity local client directly after installing but if you reinstall the client after installing oracle drivers, it is fine. I forwarded my instructions to GE and have that odac if anyone needs it for 9.8. Unfortunately I just went to 9.10 and expecting I'll have to do it again. If and when I get a minute to track that down I can post it.
