Well it doesn't surprise me, but in the communication regarding the 2018 ICD codes GE states that end users must go through all CCC forms that have problem codes and review them and update problem codes.
Has anybody don't this for the out of the box CCC forms and seen anything that needs to be updated.
We haven't heard about this or had any issues so far, but it'd be nice to know about as we move forward. Are you saying that we need to go to all of our CCC Basic forms and update them based on the new 2018 codes? Where should we look for more information?
There is a document on the support portal called "2018 ICD10 Code Update Customer Communication final" on the support site that says:
CCC & Other Forms
• CCC and other forms in use containing diagnosis codes such as Problems-CCC should be reviewed for inactive codes and text files revised as required
Along these lines, will GE continue the plan of having non billable codes appear as orange in the orders module so users can be prompted to update the ICD10 code to something billable? I'm also wondering when the "(not billable after 10/1/17)" will appear on the codes that just expired. Does anyone know?
