Does anyone know why the CPOE form requires a provider to hit the commit assessment button to have the assessment attach to the problem? Why was it not set like the HPI form where whatever is entered in that box is committed? One of our providers would like to use the "View/Insert Prior" button but that obviously won't work unless the commit button has been used on previous assessment. I would just like to understand why it was set this way. Also does anyone know if they are working on changing this?
Thanks!
It is what attaches the comments to the Dx. If you do not commit, it will not link to the Problem list and the comments will not be structured underneath the ICD code. We found that out the hard way. Check your clinical list changes on something that is not committed vs. something that is, and you will see the difference.
