We are experiencing an issue with our phone notes for CPS10.
Sometimes when the nurses open a new phone note and click on "Call from Patient"..etc nothing appears under. Then they get an error message that someone else is updating the chart (and they know no one else is). They try to X out but most of the times they need to restart their computer.
After restarting the computer when they open another phone note (existing one) everything in this note disappears (any free text entered previously by them or by the providers).
Is anyone experiencing similar issues?
Thanks much, Jude
It sounds like you're having the same issue we're having with CPS11 phone notes.
Do you get the message "another user is editing this text". try again in a few minutes?
Bob Bojalad
Yes I believe that's the message the nurses are getting. And they are sure no one else is editing the chart.

Same here. I have a case open with GE, but have not gotten anywhere with them.
GE could not solve the issue and closed the ticket. We had to create our own Phone Note in VFE but we are still experiencing the same issue (not as often though). I think the Phone Note Button is corrupt or something. Something must be going on in the background.
Jude
If you create a new custom form for Phone Note, with VFE, where do you tell GE to use a different file?
While we are on the EMR version of software, hoping it is the same place to point to a different file.
Thanks in advance...
Joseph, I just replaced their Phone Note with the VFE Phone Note in Document Templates in Admin so users can still access the form from the Phone Note button in the chart.
Since upgrading to CPS12 our phone note issue (another user editing this text) has gotten worse. This also includes recieving the "Value changed by another user Yes/No" errors too.
We tried using different forms without any success.
After elevating the issue up the chain. We finally got a GE engineer working daily on these issues. He is telling us the issue has to do with "loglocks" in the DB.
Earlier today, the engineer ran a sql script on the server to see if it fixed the issues. Im stilll waiting for feedback form the physcians/staff to see if this helped.
RSBojalad thanks for your note. Could you please let us know if the sql script that GE ran fixed your issue. Thanks, Jude
The scripts GE sent us did not work. We have been having calls with them everyday the last two weeks, and still have not been able to find a solution.
Thanks RSBojalad for the update. Please keep me posted.
